Kerry Morgan

Kerry Morgan testified on Day 10 as a former close friend of Casandra Ventura. On direct examination, she described alleged violence by Sean Combs toward Ventura in a Hollywood Hills home and in Jamaica, where Morgan said she saw Combs drag Ventura by her hair and push her to the ground. She also described a March 2016 apartment incident, an alleged 2018 assault against her, and a later $30,000 payment after she considered suing.

Before and during her testimony, the court addressed evidentiary limits on proposed testimony involving Ventura statements and exhibit disputes. The court later excluded a proposed Ventura statement after finding that Ventura could not be recalled and that the statement was disclosed after Ventura's cross-examination.

On cross-examination, defense counsel questioned Morgan about her friendship with Ventura, the alleged hammer incident, the 2018 assault, and the lack of injury photographs, treatment records, and phone materials in her possession. Morgan acknowledged having told the government she went to a hospital but maintained that she went to urgent care and did not remember saying hospital. On redirect, she said she did not remember a jealousy argument before the Los Angeles incident and heard none before the Jamaica incident; she said Combs complained that Ventura was taking too long in the bathroom before the latter incident.
