Chris Ignacio, a Los Angeles Police officer, testified on Day 15 about responding to a possible burglary call at 8925 Hollywood Hills Road in December 2011. He said that he and his partner arrived with lights and sirens, found the front door unlocked, entered and searched the residence, and later completed a trespass report.

Ignacio said he saw a black Cadillac Escalade pass the residence twice during a roughly 15-to-20-minute period. He recorded its license plate but could not see inside through the tinted windows. A photograph of the front gate and a DMV registration record were admitted, and Ignacio read the registration as listing Bad Boy Productions, Incorporation as the Escalade's registered owner. The court sustained a defense objection when questioning sought his conclusion about whether a burglary had occurred.

On cross-examination, Ignacio said he had used Officer Snyder's report to refresh his memory before testifying. He did not remember seeing a black Porsche, did not see a car chase, and said he had received no information about a firearm or kidnapping. He also said officers found no disturbed property, theft, bullet holes, or threat notes while clearing the residence.
